We are a youth organisation devoted to the development of young people though structured activities and the passing on of scout skills. As each scout progresses the challenges they are presented with also advances, towards applicable real life skills.  As leaders we watch as each generation grows into a unique set of individuals.

Mafikeng was formed in 1997 when the two Sutton scout groups united under one banner. Aaron Bowhan was the first SL and most of the ideas and systems are still in operation. Mafikeng is unique in the scouting community we are constantly innovating and setting new challenges for new horizons.  We are known across the country for our involvement in both national and international events.  Our scouts and leaders have been consistently at the forefront of scouting in Ireland. The scout promise asks us to do our best and we are the best. Our philosophy is young people can do great things, every year we're proved right.
